We collect personal information from you or your customer, including information about:

We collect your personal information in order to complete the requested tasks relating to your or your customer's electricity connection, and to be able to issue a tax invoice for work completed. This information may be provided to us by you, your electricity retailer, their metering equipment provider, or your lines company when a connection request or other such work order is issued by them to us.

We do not use any information collected for marketing purposes. We may share information collected in the carrying out of 

We keep your information safe by taking strict security precautions with the information systems it is stored on, and restricting access to authorised staff and locations only.

We are required under the Electricity Act 1992 to keep information relating to work completed for a minimum of seven years, and to share some information about work completed with WorkSafe's Electricity and Gas High-risk Database (EGHR Database). You may review information about the EGHR Database, including privacy information, on the WorkSafe website here.

We may also share this information with your electricity retailer or the Metering Equipment Provider that owns the meter(s) on your or your customer's property, your local lines company (Northpower), and/or WorkSafe to fulfil our obligations under the Electricity Act 1992.
